Had the pleasure of adding Megan McIsaac, Jean-Paul Jenkins and their 1977 Toyota Dolphin to the Them & Theirs series in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Now I need help deciding on which frame to use. Thoughts?
Here we are, enjoying what might have been our last hang out in the Dolphin! Help Ryan decide which photo to use for his project. We had so much fun during this shoot.

we finally finished cleaning her up, after a great year of living life in our beloved dolphin. it’s time to pass her on to new (and hopefully loving) owners. we’ll be posting the dolphin for sale later this week, stay tuned for more information…
dave came and visited us in our dolphin the other day. it’s hard to believe that we only have a few more days in here before we move into our apartment this weekend. it’s even harder to believe that we’ve been living in the rv for ten months…
you can now look through an edited down version of my “free dolphin rides” photo series over on the der greif magazine website. i hope to eventually publish all of the series into a zine or book in the near future…
our lovely friend bianca just posted these photographs she made of us back in portland the week before we hit the road (last december.) they’re super cute and we’re both so grateful for her kind words. we miss you, bianca!

long live the dolphin!!
i posted some pretty great vintage pieces in our etsy shop earlier this week and will be posting about 30 more things throughout the next week or two… check them out, buy yourself a lovely new piece of clothing, bookmark the shop and share it with friends…
im so sorry we have been neglecting our poor dolphin blog, but we are still living in her in los angeles! here are two photographs from a shoot i did with the lovely echo park shop myrtle, both shot in front of our beautiful RV.
i just processed and scanned a ton of negatives and will be sharing them throughout the next week or so both on here and on my personal/photography blog!
it’s hard to believe that JP and I have been living in the dolphin for almost seven months now…
mmm, we just made breakfast burritos in the parking lot at Vons… home sweet home.
jean-paul and i have been living in the dolphin since the very beginning of november of last year and have been traveling in it since the beginning of december. for those of you that don’t already know, linus (my amazing feline friend) decided to take an extended vacation at jean-pauls mums place back in san francisco. fortunately she adores him and i’m sure she’s feeding him handfuls of treats as i type this. i miss him tremendously but some cats really hate traveling, who knew? san francisco was a difficult place to leave but we were happy to be back in nature, camping along hwy 1 for a few days (oh, big sur) on our way down to LA. i have over 20 rolls of film waiting to be processed, but you can expect all kinds of madness through photographs soon enough.
it’s hard to believe that we made it to los angeles a little over three weeks ago already and have been enjoying the beautiful weather and over abundance of freaks (ourselves included.) well, due to the incredibly high cost of gas right now ($4.50/gal?!) and the cost of living in general (and we don’t even drink anymore…) we have reached our low point in funding. we’ve decided to stick around LA for a couple of months to hustle and see how long it takes us to make and save enough money to continue on (which will happen, don’t you worry.)
in the meantime we will still be sharing our life in the dolphin with you through pictures of our adventures in and around the city, things we learn along the way, and whatever various things come our way that we feel to be “blog worthy.” oh and if you’re in LA yourself, please don’t hesitate to contact us as we’ll happily save you a cup of tea to enjoy with us in the dolphin sometime…
PS - any job leads would be gratefully appreciated!
jean-paul and i are both lovers of unique vintage pieces and being on the road has enabled us to find all kinds of neat things. we decided to start buying the super special things we find at thrift stores to start sharing them on our new etsy shop, “common coinage: findings from the road.” i just made our first few listings which are just a few of the vintage clothing pieces i’ve found thus far. keep the page bookmarked if you like vintage clothes and brick-a-brac as we’ll be posting new items weekly and we’ll even have some seasonal/holiday sales at some point. if any of your friends or family members love vintage, please feel free to pass the shop along to them too. there will be vintage for men and women as well as fun toys and eventually some handmade pieces too…
